Liberty Head $10 Gold Coin

Design Details

The Liberty Head $10 Gold Coin, designed by Christian Gobrecht, features a classic neoclassical design. The obverse depicts Lady Liberty facing left, wearing a coronet inscribed “LIBERTY,” surrounded by thirteen stars and the year of issue. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, a shield on its chest, and an olive branch and arrows symbolizing peace and strength. Coins minted from 1866 onward include the motto “IN GOD WE TRUST.”

Investment & Legacy

The Liberty Head $10 Gold Coin offers a compelling combination of precious metal value, historical significance, and numismatic appeal. With nearly a half-ounce of gold content and an official U.S. Mint pedigree, it stands as a strong hedge against inflation and a tangible store of wealth. While bullion coins follow the spot price of gold closely, pre-1933 gold coins like the Liberty Head Eagle can command a premium due to their age, rarity, and condition.
